| A young couple in our fellowship
were having their first baby, and the mother very much wanted to have a
natural birth. But about two weeks before the baby was to be born, her
doctor told her that the baby had turned the wrong way in the womb and he
could not get it turned back into the normal position. So she would must
likely need a cesarean section. Hoping that the Lord would do something for her, the mother came forward one Sunday night to our healing line for prayer. I laid hands on her and started to pray. But before I finished she fell backwards to the floor - (no problem, she was caught by one of our ushers and gently laid on the floor). She laid quiet on the floor for about 15 seconds, and then her stomach started rolling back and forth, fluidly like a wave. Slowly at first and then a little faster. I was fascinated by the motion and watched her as carefully as I could, trying to figure out why her stomach was rolling the way it was. Then I saw a small area press slightly outward from her stomach. The area moved around to one side and then disappeared. When it did, the woman's stomach stopped rolling back and forth. I shouted out to everybody in the room, "Did you see that? The baby just stood up and moved around and sat back down again!" Not very logical, I know, but I was positive that something like that had happened. So positive, in fact, that after the woman was helped back to her feet, I told her and her husband to go back to her doctor and have him examine her again. As it turned out, she had an appointment that Tuesday, which was the same day as our next evening meeting. At our Tuesday evening meeting, the mother and father came forward beaming. She said her doctor had examined her that afternoon and said he didn't know how it happened, but the baby was in a perfect position to be born normally. When they told him what happened Sunday night, he said he didn't understand it, but he was very happy for them. Needless to say, when we heard her testimony we all rejoiced and gave God the glory!
