The photograph below was given to me by a young woman about 19 who came to one of our house meetings. She had come several times but had sat outside in a van during the meetings. After 3-4 weeks she came into the house, but stayed in the foyer. Then after one meeting, she came to me and asked me to look at the below photograph, which she said was given to her by her grandmother when she was sixteen. Her grandmother told her that there had been no animal of any kind on her shoulder when the picture was taken, but when the film was developed, the animal-like creature was there. The girl asked me if I thought it was a demon. I hesitated to say anything because she was filled with anxiety and fear―you could feel it radiating from her. So I asked her if I could borrow the picture and study it, and that I would let her know what I thought at the next meeting. She gave me the photograph, but never came to another meeting. The only time I saw her again was about two years later working as a waitress in a nearby restaurant. I told her I still had the photograph, and asked her if she wanted it back. She said she did not. I believed then, and still do, that the creature on the girl's right shoulder was a spirit of fear clinging to her―a cringing creature that fills its host with anxieties and fears. Unfortunately, she never gave us an opportunity to deliver her from it. The eyes have been blanked to protect the identity of the man and girl―the man's eyes were blacked out on the larger reproductions some time ago. Original photograph

The original picture, which is about a 3 x 3 snapshot,
probably taken by a box camera, was given to me in 1976. The
'animal' as you call it, was on the girl's shoulder then -
and this was quite a bit of time before computer's were
popular, and far before they had the ability to superimpose
graphics onto graphics. The girl who gave me the picture,
and was the child in the picture, was about 20-21 when she
gave it to me. The picture was given to her by her
grandmother some years before. So the picture would have
been taken some time about 1955. The girl told me that the
thing on her back was there when her grandmother gave the
picture to her, and told her that nobody in the family had
been able to figure out what it was. The rest of the story

If you believe that the 'animal' was 'added in by computer,'
then you have to believe that I added it. Which is fine, I
guess, if you want to believe that way.
Whatever you believe, the picture is what it is and was
never altered in anyway, whether you care to believe that or
not, except to black out the eyes of the two in the picture.
Bottom line, up to you to believe what you feel able to
believe.
