What does the Holy Spirit mean in Hebrews 12:14 where it is written, "Pursue holiness . . ., without which no one will see the Lord"?

Many Christians do not seem to understand what this means, since they spend no time in pursuing holiness. So I want to explain clearly and plainly what it means.

It means this: Without holiness no one will see the Lord.

Your level of holiness is determined by what enters your mind and heart - and that is much determined by what you see and hear.

Live in the Word and the Spirit, and you become holy - live in the world and its ways, and you become worldly.

Even within Christianity, the level of your holiness is determined by what you see and hear - and will never rise above the holiness of what you see and hear. And the holiness of that is determined by the holiness of the individual or individuals who produce what you see and hear.
