Get people to praying, to worshipping, to obeying, and to
believing, and you will change and improve their lives.
"Healing is nothing more than the manifestation of the very
real presence of Jesus Christ." (Bishop Blumhardt)
It is God's will, it is God's desire, it is
God's intent to heal.
It is not faith we must seek, it is Jesus Christ.
"Lord, take every cursed thing out of my soul that keeps
me from believing the Lord Jesus Christ." (John G. Lake)
"Teach my people faith in Me, and I will teach you how to
minister to them."
If we are "hid in Christ" before God, how much more we
ought to be hid in Christ before men.
The continued failures of a representative cast
reflections on the one who sent him.
Always keep your heart desire right before God and be
willing to be changed.
Succeed for God or die in the attempt!
"Nothing is too hard for prayer because nothing is too
hard for God." (E. M. Bounds)
"Only preaching that molds the lives of the people is
great!" (F. Asbury)
Preach for results!
The word of God has two purposes:
- To convert sinners
- To sanctify saints.
"Preach the Gospel: not the Gospel of the last age or of
this age, but the everlasting Gospel. (John Wesley)
"A holy man is a terrible weapon in the hands of a holy
God!" (R. M. McCheyne)
It is not until we stop that Jesus Christ begins.
Minister the life of Christ:
- Lift up Jesus Christ
- Magnify His blood
- Honor the Holy Spirit
- Give the Holy Spirit first place
- Give all glory to God!
"The highest spirituality is the most utter helplessness,
the most entire dependence, and the most complete possession by the Holy
Spirit." (A. B. Simpson)
"Growth comes not on the mountain tops but in the
valleys." (Kathryn Kuhlman)
"Speak for eternity." (C. P. Spurgeon)
What God inspires, God transpires.
"God cannot use any but a crucified man to speak about a
crucified Christ." (A. B. Simpson)
"Christians can work wonders if they can get God to lead
them." (E. M. Bounds)
The Holy Spirit is life or death to your church.
Nurture people to be conformed to the image of Christ.
If your Gospel does not change the heart of a
person, your Gospel has failed.
Don't go to the pulpit without the Holy Spirit - in truth,
not just in your imagination or assumption.
Always remember 2 Corinthians 3:6 - preach the Spirit, not
the letter. People cannot keep the letter.
Speak from the pulpit of Mount Zion, not of Mount Sinai.
- Was your sermon given by the Holy Spirit?
- Is your heart in your sermon?
- Is the Holy Spirit in your sermon? (If He gave you your
sermon, make certain He's in your sermon!)
- Are your sermons backed by love?
Never try to get a right result from a wrong motive.
The end does NOT sanctify the means!
